Damp Survey Reports
Thermal Image Report/Damp Survey Report
In order to provide a full and detailed report on damp and moisture in buildings various techniques are required. These help to build a complete and fully informed assessment.
Moisture meters alone can give false readings as they merely send a small electrical charge and anything that conducts electricity ie building salts will give a reading.
Other more accurate methods require drilling into plaster/brickwork and this is often not possible or suitable for obvious reasons (destroying decoration etc).
The use of a thermal imaging camera allows us to see an image of what is happening within the wall and determine the source - be it a leaking pipe, condensation or penetrating damp. Walls and wall coverings remain undamaged by this survey.
The conclusions are recorded in a report that takes into account the age, proximity and construction of the property. Areas of concern are highlighted by Chem-Dry Universal and suggestions are made with regards remedial work.
This report is ideal for property purchasers or sellers (private, landlords, commercial, property developers). Our reports are completely independent. Chem-Dry Universal is not a building or damp proofing company and as such we are not looking for work off the back of the report we provide.
Each survey takes between thirty minutes to one hour dependent upon the size of and the complexity of each property. The current cost is £160.00 per survey and is inclusive of VAT.
