Upholstery plays a major integral part in feeling relaxed and comfortable at home.  There is a wide variation in materials used, appearance, size and construction of upholstery - not to mention the price.  Whether the material of the upholstery is constructed from a natural source or man made the fabrics tend to be less robust than those used in carpets.

Chem-Dry Universal strongly recommends that all upholstery has a barrier protector applied.  This protector not only helps in removing those little spills that will occur in between professional cleans but protects the fabric from the harsh acidic action of dirt and body grease that over time will rot the fabric.  Having cleaned your upholstery with safe non-toxic solutions a water based protector can be applied.
